Learn about me

I believe that each person deserves an opportunity to be heard and understood. With this in mind, I focus therapy on each person’s individual strengths that they bring into the therapy room. As a therapist, it is my goal to create an atmosphere promoting these values along with a safe environment. We will work alongside each other to navigate through the challenges that bring you into therapy in order to address your individual treatment goals. I am committed to joining you on your journey of healing and growth.

Let's work together on your journey.

Clinical Focus

I have worked with an array of clientele from children as old as 2 to adults as young as 72. I use a Person-Centered approach alongside the Internal Family System model (IFS). I am well versed in a variety of interventions including, but not limited to CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, Sand-tray, and Trauma-Focused interventions. Currently, the clients that I see in my practice are women and those who identify as non-binary.  I have a strong focus on women issue across the age spectrum.  I have the opportunity to work with military personnel, including spouses and dependents. I identify as a black woman and have had the opportunity to serve persons in minority groups throughout San Diego county and California, including BIPOC, and marginalized persons/LGBTQIA+ communities, to name a few. I work to build a genuine and authentic connection with the people who welcome me into their lives and their experiences. I acknowledge that therapy is not always fun, however through personal experience and with those who have walked through my door (or computer screen), I more often than not see that it is worth it. I show up to sessions open and authentic (in all my awkward glory) with the hope of creating a space where you allow yourself to show me the person behind closed doors. Everyone has a different story, a different experience, and different goals. However, what I have continued to see with the people I work with, is as they begin to honor themselves, their needs, their feelings, and live their lives in line with their values, they report improved feelings towards self and overall positive sense well-being.
